From Pilot to Global Data Foundation: How Maxion Scaled SAP Datasphere Across Multiple Regions
Description

When Maxion Wheels first implemented SAP Datasphere, the goal was to create a single source of truth across a global organization while preserving decades of operational and reporting history. Since then, the program has expanded from an initial Turkey pilot to multiple deployments across Brazil, Germany, Italy, and Spain. In this session, Maxion shares how it evolved its Datasphere strategy to support five SAP ECC systems, S/4HANA, multiple regional deployments, and enterprise reporting through Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. Attendees will learn how Maxion structured Datasphere in a complex global environment, drove business adoption, approached historical data retention, and prepared the foundation for its broader S/4HANA transformation.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Design and scale SAP Datasphere in a multi-country SAP landscape.
  • Consolidate data from ECC and S/4HANA environments into a common reporting foundation.
  • Support business growth and reporting demand through centralized data models.
  • Evaluate SAP Analytics Cloud, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI within a modern analytics architecture.
  • Develop a historical data strategy that supports long-term S/4HANA migration plans.
