Since summer 2023, Paulina Chmielarz has been responsible for driving technology and process transformation across JLR’s Industrial Operations (IO) department, which includes manufacturing, supply chain and procurement. In this role, which reports directly to Executive Director of IO and JLR board member, Nigel Blenkinsop, Paulina leads a workstream focused on accelerating technology, connectivity and automation, from business process capabilities through to acceleration of AI.
Prior to this, Paulina held the position of Manufacturing Business Office Director at JLR, where she played leading roles in industrial strategy, systems and planning, make/buy decisions, and in-plant logistics operations.
She has been instrumental in JLR’s digital strategy and is responsible for the implementation of all major platforms including ERP, PLM and MES, including the rollout of SAP S/4Hana and 3DExperience across all global operations. Paulina joined JLR in 2016, during which time she has played key roles in global production and logistics processes, systems and engineering. She was key in developing JLR’s material and logistics flows for its plant in Nitra, Slovakia, and later held roles defining business processes and manufacturing systems.
Before joining JLR, Paulina worked in a variety of industries including machining, medical equipment, electronics and automotive, including for a tier-1 supplier and Chinese OEM Qoros.She graduated from Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland, in 2008 with a double Master’s Degree in Management and Production Engineering.
